What's a Dooflinky?

Where did you get that name, Dooflinky Dolls?
I have searched for and thought about a name for my doll making endeavors for a long time and no name ever seemed to quite cover it. Not catchy enough, not clever enough, too cute, too obscure. Finally I quite trying to figure one out.
Enter my dear mom. Mom uses the word "dooflinky" all the time when a name or a word just won't come to her.
According to SlangSite.com dooflinky (doo-fling-kee) is defined as: A word used for any noun that is not a person. As I was drifting off to sleep one night, in my head I heard my mother say "dooflinky". The Muse (and my mother) had spoken. The name was born. I like it as a tip of the hat to Mom and a perfect name for dolls that I couldn't categorize as one thing or the other.
This doll: Penelope Copper, polymer clay face and fabric scraps.

I did wonder about "dooflinky" - it's a word I've not heard here in Australia. Thanks for explaining.

Silent Thistle has such an interesting face. He looks a bit shy, but if he did talk I'm sure he'd be both wise and mischievous!
